September 2017 – December 2018

A shop is opened in Jette. We start selling ferments from around Belgium with a high concentration of Beer related beverages, but in the meantime we organize workshops, tasting events and get ourselves with catering gigs on different festivals. We experiment a lot and gather lots of fermentation experience. Sadly the shop wasn’t solvable and we had to close it down, but our story wasn’t over yet!

January 2019 – May 2019
We close down the shop, and go for an “on tour” till we can open the new version of Fermenthings. The most memorable moment was a giant Kimchi party in the middle of the Cocktailbar Green Lab in Ixelles in February of 2019.

May 2019 – March 2020
In May we arrive at our new spot: Be-Here. Together with the Micro Brewery la Source and later with Goutzi Kombucha we build towards a new space in Laeken. We start having fully packed Brunches, weekly workshops and catering gigs over the whole city. The future looks bright and Fermenthings is getting traction.

March 2020 – XXX 202X
But life is full of surprises and COVID-19 makes us question our whole project once again. While the confinement is still ongoing we are working towards the future, more resilient and collective as ever. We will be back, changed by what surrounds us. But ready to tackle the next challenge!
