Tempeh Fermentation Workshop by Domingo Club

Join us to observe, understand, enjoy and take part in a fermentation process that unites the world of fungi and plants.


Tempeh is a fermented food rich in plant protein. It is the result of the fermentation of beans with mycelium, the roots of mushrooms. During the process, the mycelium feeds on the beans, pre-digest them, and grows in the space around them, binding them together with its pure white hyphae. This makes a super healthy, nutritious and delicious food!

In this workshop we will:

Taste fresh tempeh and see various ways of cooking it

Learn about its history and why it interests us so much
Make tempeh all together

At the end of the workshop, you’ll have the choice of taking your tempeh home with you or leaving it to incubate in the fermenters on site at Fermenthings and picking it up two days later.
