Erve #3 is a refreshing, dry and rustic table beer with a subtle palette of noble Belgian Golding hops that lend delicate green notes and a soft bitterness. This beer was aged for a longer time than Alm and Weide, allowing the Brettanomyces and our own wild house culture to develop a fascinating rural character with lots of fruity notes that remind us of pear, papaya and pineapple. Erve is the ideal beer to drink with an honest hearty meal or medium aged farmer’s cheese.
Brewed by Nevel Artisan Ales in Nijmegen (The Netherlands), a brewery launched in 2016 by Mattias and Vincent after being homebrewers. Nevel has now a small team and produces 1500 litres a day, mainly using local foraged herbs and flowers, testing wild fermentations and trying to get closer to the farmhouse styles.
